The Beast in the East 4
You Could Become Apart of Hampton Roads LARGEST Annual Gaming Festival. Join the eSports Revolution Today!
"Someone spilled the beans about our garage arcade gathering. Now we have a budding gaming community. "
It was never our intention to have BITE become a popular annual gaming festival. We were just a group of friends that had access to arcade machines that wanted an excuse to see each other.

Some of life's best things happen by chance and BITE is living proof. You have been selected to become apart of the growing family! This is our chance to begin a long lasting partnership in eSports. In this sponsor deck, we will provide you with detailed information about the event and how we envision you to become apart of it.
Event Overview
About the Event
BITE is an annual gaming festival that features arcade, console and retro games. This is our 4th year running the event and our inaugural year in the Hampton Roads Convention Center. Attendees get to enjoy weekend long free play for all games along with tournaments for nearly every game we bring.
About the Event Organizer
Christopher Beachum is the Event Organizer of BITE. He is a sponsored National Supporter of the game Pump It Up. On top of four years of organizing BITE, he has over a decade of experience being apart of other events such as Magfest.  This experience has made it easier to bring the most talented individuals in for BITE.
What It Takes to be Team BITE
There is not a lot of information about getting into eSports making it feel unobtainable for the average gamer. We looked to change this by making our event only have one requirement. Passion for the game. We are lucky enough to have some of the best people in the field create guidelines for every role at the event. The only thing we ask our team members and partners to have is a drive to create something special for our attendees.

  • Average Hours Gaming a Day: 1-3 hours
  • Gaming Interest: 73% Arcade Games 19% Console 8% Retro
  • Living Standard: Apartment/First Time Home Buyers with expendable income for an event similar to ours each season of the year.

BITE Road Map
Short Term Goals
  • Set Expandable Systems: As the event grows more roles will need to be filled. In order to prepare for this, we have guidelines on who, what, where and when to be executed. This includes, but is not limited to future sponsors, partnerships, event staff, tournament organizers, and media.
  • Unite Local Communities: The Hampton Roads area has the largest populous in Virginia. There are various gaming communities and businesses already established. It is our goal to round them all up under one roof for the event. Everyone makes up BITE, everyone gets their time to shine.
  • Experience is Everything: As the event changes there will be one thing that does not. The core experience of the event. It is a place for all to enjoy gaming, meet new communities, battle to improve their skill, and most importantly put names to online faces.
Mid Term Goals
  • Controlled Growth: Anyone can throw money at the wall and get an event to work. It is very important to us to create controlled growth for the health of the event. We always have a plan for expansion and key indicators of when it is time to execute.
  • Venue/City Backing: With venue backing we will be able to enter negotiation for a multi-year discounted contract. With city backing we will be able to fund a portion of the event with grants.
  • Ranking Standard: We want to establish a standard of player ranking for the event. There will be a way at all times to see who is THE Beast in the East. This will take several years of tweaking to find the right metrics and elo formulas for the event. We also plan on implementing event achievements. All of this adds to the experience of being at the event and sets us up as a leader in the industry.
Long Term Goals
  • Colosseum Expansion: The Hampton Roads Convention Center has a sister site across the street that is a perfect venue for main stage tournament matches. The goal is to host the main tournaments in this building to create an electric atmosphere for both players and viewers.
  • Brand Value: Establishing the BITE brand in gaming will allow us to expand past the event. We will be able to transition into an influencer/content creator role, which will allow us to attract other influential figures towards the event and gain revenue year around to push the event further.
  • eSports Olympics: The ultimate next stage of BITE is to create an eSports olympics. Just like the traditional olympics there are dozens of different categories that make up eSports. FPS, MOBA, RTS, fighing and more can all be under one event every 2-4 years where every country battles to become the best at gaming in the world.

Media Examples
With various BITE sponsorship, we offer our resources to create rich and engaging media for both parties. Here are a few examples of what we are able to create:
How YOU Can Fit
We are looking to build a long lasting relationship with You. Here is our vision of how we see BITE benefiting both of us.
  • Equipment Donation: We can use all equipment on deck. Upon load-in on the Thursday of the event we will mark your equipment with QR codes so we can keep track of who has what and when it comes in and out.
  • Tournament Organizers: If there are any games we do not currently have tournament organizers for, we highly encourage you to become the TO's for them. It gives your business a chance to show off how you run tournaments and mix it up with people outside of your already established local community.
  •  Pot Prize Sponsorship: A big show of community support is to sponsor one of the tournaments at the event. It is easily the best way to build a connection with the attendees of the event. Earning just a handful of their loyalty easy offsets the cost of the pot prize sponsorship on a yearly outlook.
  • Vendor Booth: We would like you to have a physical presence at the event. As one of Hampton Roads community influences it looks good on both our parties to have you there and interacting with the community.
Our goal for our local sponsors is to give them the stage to show off their gaming passion. Your business already does so much for the community, but can only do so much with weeklies and monthlies. We already have the established traffic, community backing, and arcade set ups to help you reach the national stage. Every sponsor is equally important to the success of the event and help lift each other up.
If you have any questions about the event or your place at it, feel free to contact our event organizer at any time. We look forward to working with you for many years!
